Hello! My name is RaShun Barksdale, and I serve as a Career Coach and the founder of the Oveus Career Accelerator.

This site is designed as a career exploration and resource tool to help students gain exposure to opportunities, programs, and supports available within their county and across the state of Maryland. It connects students to real-world pathways so they can better understand what’s possible for their future and how to access it.

My work focuses on helping students explore careers, identify interests, and build the skills needed for success after high school. I support students in discovering opportunities across industries, education pathways, apprenticeships, internships, and workforce programs—while making sure they understand how to take the next step toward those goals.

Using the RIASEC Career Interest Framework as a foundation, I guide students through structured exploration of their interests, strengths, and values. Through meaningful conversations, reflection, and interactive experiences, students begin to connect who they are with real career possibilities.

My goal is simple: to equip students with the awareness, confidence, and direction they need to navigate life after high school—whether that path leads to college, a trade, military service, entrepreneurship, or the workforce—while ensuring they are informed about the resources and opportunities available right here in Maryland.
